What is Reiki?

​

Reiki is a gentle relaxation therapy that helps the body shift out of “fight or flight” and into a calmer, more regulated state by supporting the parasympathetic nervous system and restoring balance. Many people experience deep relaxation, stress relief, and a greater sense of emotional balance during and after a session. 

 

While it is not a replacement for medical treatment, Reiki is used worldwide in wellness centers, holistic practices, and hospitals as supportive care for stress, anxiety, pain management, and emotional well-being.

What to expect during a Reiki session

​

During a session, I gently place or hover my hands over specific areas of your body, including the chakras. My approach integrates traditional Reiki with optional aromatherapy and sound healing to create a multi-sensory experience that soothes the nervous system and promotes deep relaxation. Unlike a massage, you remain fully clothed during a session.​

Reiki for animals

​

Animals intuitively sense and respond to energy. Reiki can help calm their nervous system and support overall well-being. Sessions may be hands-on or hands-off, depending on the animal’s comfort. Every session is gentle, respectful, never forced, and guided by the animal's comfort and needs.

Distance Reiki

​

Distance is not a barrier for Reiki. Distance sessions are held virtually and are just as effective as in-person sessions. They're ideal for those who cannot attend in person, or who simply prefer to relax from the comfort of their own space.

Hi. I'm Dani.

I'm a certified Reiki practitioner.

It's an honor to be a part of your journey.

How it started

​​

​My path into inner work began early. As a child, I guided my best friend through visualizations, without knowing those were “guided meditations.” As a teen, I did the same for family. Years later, I turned to chakra meditation, yoga, therapy, and deeper self-inquiry. Through that work, I began uncovering childhood patterns, emotional wounds, and the parts of myself I had learned to silence.

​

I used to think understanding alone led to healing. But even after gaining awareness, my body was still holding on. Over time, I learned that stress, trauma, and emotion aren’t just mental; they imprint on the body and nervous system. Deeper healing happens when we work with both.

​

As a former scientist, I was skeptical of Reiki. I saw it as a bit metaphysical and didn’t expect to feel anything. But the experience surprised me. Reiki increased my awareness of long-held nervous system patterns and continues to help me release them, while building mindful body presence, deepening energy awareness, and trusting the body’s innate wisdom and capacity to heal.

Education & Professional Background

​​

After becoming certified as a Reiki practitioner by the International Center for Reiki Training, I spent over a year practicing Reiki on a small group of people and animals before offering sessions to the public. This allowed me to deepen my skills and ensure that every session I offer is grounded, thoughtful, and truly restorative. 

​

In addition to my Reiki certification, I hold a bachelor's in Family and Child Studies, a master's in Environmental Studies, and a certificate in Project Management. I also run a pet care business.
 

​

Values & Life

​

Spending time with animals, connecting with friends, hiking, biking, grounding at the beach, and traveling. I'm passionate about animal rights, living a vegan lifestyle, and striving towards eco-friendly living.
