What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle relaxation therapy that supports the body’s natural ability to relax, regulate, and heal. It is used worldwide in wellness centers, hospitals, and holistic practices as supportive care for stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and nervous system imbalance. Reiki is not a replacement for medical treatment. Instead, it works alongside it, helping the body shift from tension and protection into ease and restoration. The word Reiki comes from Japanese and translates to “universal life energy.”
How it works
During a session, the practitioner places or hovers their hands over different areas of the body. This helps the nervous system settle, allowing the body to move out of fight-or-flight and into a deeply restorative state.

Every response is normal and welcome. The session is always guided by your comfort level, at your pace, in a grounded and judgment-free space.
A Note on Energy
The body communicates through electrical and energetic signaling. The heart, brain, and nervous system all produce measurable electric and magnetic fields. Reiki works with the body’s natural energy field (often called the biofield) to encourage balance. While research continues, many find the experience deeply calming, supportive, and regulating.
No need to believe in anything. Just breathe and receive.

Reiki for animals
Animals respond intuitively to energy work. Reiki for animals is administered similarly to humans. Sessions may be hands-on or hands-off, depending on the animal’s comfort. It is gentle, respectful, never forced, and tailored to the animal's comfort and needs.

Distance Reiki
Energy is not limited by physical space. Distance sessions are just as effective and are ideal for those who cannot be present in person or prefer healing from the comfort of home. Sessions typically take place over a video call.

How it started
My path into healing began early. As a child, I guided my best friend through visualizations, without knowing those were “guided meditations.” As a teen, I did the same for family. Years later, during my own deep healing work, I began uncovering childhood patterns, emotional wounds, and the parts of myself I had learned to silence.
I once believed understanding alone meant healing. But even after gaining awareness, my body was still holding on. Over time, I learned that stress, trauma, and emotions don’t just live in the mind; they live in the body and nervous system. True healing happens through the body, not just through thought. As a former scientist, I was skeptical of Reiki at first. I expected to feel nothing. Instead, it changed everything. Reiki continues to help me release what I’ve carried for a lifetime, through mindful presence, energy awareness, and trust in the body’s innate wisdom.

Now I support others in reconnecting with their bodies and creating space for what wants to be felt and released.

Education & Background
In addition to my Reiki certification, I hold a bachelor's in Family and Child Studies, a master's in Environmental Studies, and a Project Management certificate. I run a pet care business and have worked in environmental consulting and tech startups.

Spending time with animals, connecting with friends, hiking, biking, grounding at the beach, and traveling. I'm passionate about animal rights, living a vegan lifestyle, and striving towards eco-friendly living.
